The Nusserhof estate, with its 2.5 hectares of vines is tiny, even by Italian standards. It lies directly beside the Isarco River facing south, practically in the center of the city of Bolzano. The Bolzano Valley Basin enjoys a fantastically warm climate for it's elevation and deep, rich alluvial soils. The 2006 Lagrein Riserva is a full, inky beauty packed with lush, plummy fruit, cracked black pepper and herbs. It is bursting with a gamey, woodland berry personality, and is in fact one of the most individual expressions of Lagrein we have tasted.
