From the hills of Alcamo, just a few kilometers from the sea, Sergio Drago crafts this bright, coastal Sicilian red from Nero d’Avola and Syrah. Fermented and aged in stainless steel for five months, it’s medium-bodied, with Syrah giving a soft but defined tannic frame and Nero d’Avola bringing freshness and that unmistakable Mediterranean edge. The nose is all ripe red fruit with a saline snap — a nod to the calcareous soils and salty air of the vineyards. Easy to drink yet full of character, it’s as comfortable with grilled fish as it is with something more rustic from the land.
