Possibly the best Chenin in the entire Loire Valley. Compared to the relative approachability of other Chenins, this wine is a deep and tightly coiled Vouvray - densely compact and stony. There are citrus and intense salty, earthy scents and a remarkably pure and focused palate with a deep, structured close. It's an exquisitely shaped, crystalline young Chenin quivering with potential. Loaded with ginger, warm brioche, white peach, chamomile flower, honeysuckle and quinine notes that all ripple through the long, concentrated finish. Ripe, but steely and dry. A beauty.
