Cara Sur is a small winery in the remote Calingasta Valley, San Juan—just north of Mendoza—where old vines, high-altitude farming, and minimal intervention come together in a stark desert landscape. The project, launched in 2011, is a collaboration between Sebastián Zuccardi and Marcela Manini, and mountaineers Pancho Burgallo and Nuria Año Gargiulo, who farm ancestral varietals on stony soils at 1500m elevation.This bottling is 100% Moscatel Tinto from a single vineyard. Light, vibrant, and quietly floral—red raspberry, bing cherry, jasmine, and a bit of spice. Medium acid, soft tannin, and a ton of lift. One of the few examples of the grape ever brought into the U.S.
