Vignai da Duline Malvasia Istriana Chioma Integrale 2016
What kind of wine would you make if you did nothing--no pruning, no weeding, not even cutting your own hair? The winemakers of Duline are followers of Japanese farmer philopsopher Masanobu Fukuoka (1913-2008), who advocated for this extreme laissez-faire approach. In addition to watching the grass grow, Duline only harvests 20% of the grapes, to reduce stress on the plants. And, yes, they don't trim themselves either. The wine is called 'Chioma' (which means both 'foliage' and 'hair') and the taste is otherworldly.
