Bien de Altura works high-elevation vineyards on volcanic soils in Gran Canaria, focusing on fresh, island-driven expressions of local grapes. “Ikewen” blends mostly Listán Negro with small amounts of other native varieties, fermented naturally and aged without heavy wood. The wine is lifted and savory — red berries, herbal spice, a little smoke from the volcanic terrain, and finely grippy tannins.
