Vino Centuno (Wine 101 w/an Italian Accent), A 4-Class Series

Imagine learning about wine in the wine cellar of your Piedmontese grandfather. Only it’s in New York. For our Vino Centuno (‘Wine 101’) introductory course, we delve into the basics of wine as you sip and savor in our tasting room with its 13-foot ceilings, bluestone floors with French doors facing out to our private garden. Learning about wine, we believe, should be as enjoyable as it is informative. The course is divided into 4 classes. In the first session, we teach how to taste: to help you identify differences in aromas, colors, textures, acidity, tannins that make wines different from one another. The following lessons each focus on a category: red, white and, finally, sparkling. The goal is to help you demystify wine as well as to empower you with a better sense of what kind of wine you like and why you like it. We also hope you leave with a special appreciation of Italian wine in particular! Salute! Classes are from 6-8PM, Wednesdays, Feb.2, Feb. 16, Mar. 2 & Mar. 16. $150 for the 4-part class.
