Superstar Elisabetta Foradori makes the best Teroldego in the region. Since she took over her family's winery at 19, Elisabetta Foradori has made a life's work of elevating this Alto Adige varietal to unimaginable heights. Certified-biodynamic farming; hand harvest; fermentation with indigenous yeasts; minimal sulfur use (not until racking and bottling); maceration with some stems. The Teroldego spends 8 months on its skins in clay amphorae, natural yeasts and no sulfur. 100% Teroldego, an ancient variety native to the alpine Trentino region and related to Pinot Noir, Lagrein and Syrah. A dark, dense, brooding wine with chewy tannins & a strong mineral finish.
