Monteleone Etna Bianco 2024
Monteleone is a relatively new name on Etna, founded in 2017 by Giulia Monteleone, her father Enrico, and her husband Benedetto Alessandrino. Their Etna Bianco comes from two high-elevation parcels on the volcano’s eastern slope—750 and 900 meters—where the sea’s influence brings cooler air, more rain, and a longer growing season. It’s a part of Etna known for producing some of the region’s most focused white wines. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, this is Carricante at its most precise—citrus peel, mountain herbs, and volcanic minerality. Lean, tense, and quietly expressive. If you like Chablis, you’ll get it. Excellent with raw seafood, lemony pastas, or anything that needs a sharp edge at the table. Farming is certified organic.
