This organic blend is primarily Nerello Mascalese (90%), complemented by a mix of Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante, Grenache, and other local varieties, all sourced from the esteemed Contradas Calderara and Feudo vineyards on Mount Etna. These vines, rooted deeply in volcanic soils at around 650 meters altitude near Randazzo, benefit from the unique northern slope climate. The wine is naturally fermented in open-top tanks using only ambient yeasts and macerates for 18 days. It then ages in large chestnut barrels for 24 to 36 months, culminating in a limited production of 400 cases that captures the spirited essence of Etna.
