Burn Cottage Cashburn Otago Pinot Noir 2016
From the mythic Ted Lemon, Cashburn is some seriously good New Zealand Pinot Noir. The second label of Burn Cottage from Central Otago, its name is a play on Central Otago’s slang for “creek” and the region is called Lowburn. This wine is a clonal selection of 777, 667, 115, 10/5, and Abel clones of Pinot Noir and was aged in 35% new French oak from the Mercurey & Damy cooperages for 12 months. 468 cases produced. Wonderfully understated and elegant with soft, supple tannin. Bright acidity lends balance and freshness to the long finish.
