Grange Tiphaine Clef de Sol 2019
A Loire red for a true wine geek. Since 2002, Damien Delecheneau has been running the winery with intense scientific precision on natural winemaking. His design and winemaking techniques rival some of the most technically advanced wineries in the world—all while using as little additives as possible to preserve the precise terroir of the Loire Valley. In 2016, Damien became the president of the appellation in Montlouis and in 2017 he was able to completely stop the frost damage that had been running rampant in the Loire Valley for many years and save all the grapes in the appellation. Damien believes in "the respect of an inherited soil, a fragile nature, an ancient work, a demanding fruit and customers without whom [they] would be here.” Clef de Sol Rouge comes from 60 year-old vines and the deeply etched minerality cuts through the firm red fruit on this elegant, structured wine.
