Gamay and hardcore punk — two things close to Amber & Taras’ hearts, and both come together in ‘The Price of Silence,’ named after a fave Aussie punk band. Originally sourced from a near 40-year-old vineyard lost to the 2020 wildfires, the fruit now comes from Eureka Vineyard in Woodside, keeping the same vibrant aromatics and edgy structure. Hand-harvested, the grapes were split: half went through carbonic fermentation, the other half whole-cluster, open-top with gentle plunging. Basket-pressed and aged in 500L French puncheons for five months. Pure new-world Gamay with punk attitude.
